About her
I am baggage free, have a nice house and good friends so I guess I am quite independent but I think life is more enjoyable shared with the right person.
For most of my life, I have lived in Berkshire/Hampshire apart from almost a year and a half in Australia. I went to a private girls school in Newbury and then onto 6th form for A levels. University didn't seem so important back in the 80s and, as I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do, I drifted into a secretarial course and then work. I may not be Einstein, but I am intelligent, articulate and worldly wise.
When not at work, I enjoy holidays, spending time with friends, walking, cooking, pottering in my garden, nights out (preferably country pubs rather than clubs) but am equally happy having a quiet night at home in front of the open fire (a cliché but it's true). I am definitely a country girl at heart, more at home surrounded by countryside than the hustle and bustle of a city. I like getting dressed up or wearing a comfortable pair of jeans, depending on the occasion. I am fond of animals and share my home with my 2 moggies.
I have travelled to many places both in Europe and further afield. My favourite holiday destinations are probably Kenya for the safaris, Thailand and Cuba for the diverse culture and history and Madeira as it offers a perfect mix of walking, relaxing in the sun, lovely scenery, delicious food and friendly people.
It is difficult to describe yourself without sounding as though you are blowing your own trumpet so I asked a friend how she would describe me. Her response was "generous, loyal, quick witted, astute and a good cook."

I am looking for the all-important spark combined with honesty, humour, respect and romance - someone ready to love and to be loved. Of course chemistry is a key ingredient but we won't know if that is there until we meet. Ideally you will be educated, well spoken and have similar values to me.
What I am seeking is probably the same as most people ... to meet that special person to share the rest of life's experiences and opportunities with. A partner, best friend and companion. I know there is someone out there somewhere who is perfect for me and I am perfect for him, we just have to find each other, and hopefully a forum such as this will increase our chances.
