About her
It's so hard to do this because standing back and looking at who I am is not something I do often. I tried asking my friends but they obviously want to say nice things!! (which I suppose means that they do at least like me)! But the general consensus seems to be; that I am fun to be around. And a little bit feisty! Most of my friends are younger than I, and generally I like to be around happy,active, busy,humorous people.
I do have a pretty busy lifestyle; arty crafty, drawing; making pots, playing around with textiles. Walking swimming, gardening or just pottering. Pottering is a great way to relax! I am quite political; a democratic socialist at heart. So clearly an optimist too! Spent quite a lot of my working life in Social Work.
I like animals. My cat is a great companion, slightly limited conversations, though she tries, but there's a language problem.
I like to travel and especially love France. I voted remain and if you didn't we might fall out!
I have two sons who in my view are both splendid people; as are their wives. One granddaughter and and one 3 year old
great grand-son. We see each other frequently enough for the grown ups to remember who I am but not so often they get boring (perhaps I should mention my awful sense of humour)
I have my own house and car and garden.......having friends to share it with me is one of my joys. I like walking, swimming, and generally keeping fit. Have gym membership and try to get there at least once a week.
I like theatre though I have been missing out on this recently. I also enjoy most live music from classical through to Rock. (though I wouldn't pretend to be knowledgeable) OK I've rambled on enough. I would like to meet someone who is open and able to be honest about their feelings. Someone who feels able to be openly caring. I want to be able to have fun with the person who I meet and an active lifestyle. I love walking and this year one of my holidays will be spent walking in France. I would enjoy having a walking partner. Living in a beautiful rural area I have lots of great walks close by that I would love to share with you.
I like to learn new things from the person I am with. It would be great if you were creative too. Keen gardeners especially welcome; particularly if like me you would appreciate doing some world travel, to include visiting some gardens. Italy is next on my agenda.
