About him
Hello - thanks for stopping-by. So some facts about me then:
- I live in a terraced house in southeast London with a disproportionately big garden (which reminds me, I must mow the lawn this weekend!)
- I took up running during lockdown, and it’s now an established part of my routine, including Parkrun most Saturdays.
- I like the same things as most people - live music or a pub quiz is always a draw, but live comedy is always my night-out of choice (Aberystwyth Comedy Festival is a favourite, though quite a trek to get to!).
- Despite the photo, I'm not massively into football - I follow a very family-friendly non-league team with an atmosphere that's more like a rugby club (craft beer and gyros - what's not to like!)
- Random fact (1): I learnt how to fly a plane before I learnt how to drive a car - but now I only ever do the latter.
- I enjoy travelling and have spent a lot of time in North America in recent years, where I have family. I'd like to spend more time exploring Europe in the next few years.
- I’m environmentally aware and try to keep that all-important carbon footprint down. This profile, however, is far from recycled... it's a bona fide one-off!
- Random fact (2): Once upon a time, I used to be on the radio (not 'arf, pop-pickers).
- I had a medical the other week and the computer said I had the body of a 35 year-old. Okay, it didn't quite say that - but it did calculate that to be my metabolic age. The benefits of Parkrun!
